I know a few people are wondering how I decide what items I feature on the blog.
First I have to like the items that I’m featuring. I love to find unique items, although that can be hard with cosmetics, and candles.
Second, the site has to be a site that I would feel comfortable ordering from myself.
That means that shoppers have to be able to order items directly from the site, without having to email the owner with a list of items they’d like, and wait for a response from the site owner before they can order.
It also means that shoppers have to be able to order directly from the site without waiting for a shipping invoice to be sent seperately.
I know that not being able to order directly from a site when they want to is a pet peeve for many shoppers, and I don’t want to feature sites that would annoy me, or you.
I also like to see information about the owners and the business on the site, so that I can get an idea about who is running the business, and how long they have been around.
I like to feature sites that are easy to navigate, because if it’s hard for me to navigate the site, it’s going to be harder for me to find something that I like enough to mention to you!
The site has to have a professional flair – although some banners and links to other sites are ok, if I feature a site I have to think that the business owners are serious about their business, and if there’s a lot of stuff cluttering up the home page, and confusing me, then I’m not going to spend too much time looking at the site.
I have never monetary recieved compensation for featuring any of the etailers in the blog.
I have recieved products to review for the blog, and of course you can figure out which products these are by looking at the reviews. Some of the items I review are purchased by me, but some are sent to me by the business owners.
If you have any more questions about the sites I feature in the blogs, or if you know of any sites that I should feature, please leave a comment, and let me know about them.
